OPHTHALMIC SOFTWARE PLATFORM RX

Multi modality platform for Canon retinal cameras and OCTs . Designed for seamless integration and connectivity with patient management systems.

The ophthalmic software platform currently consists of 4 different software programs :

 Control software for OCT-HS100  : RX Capture for OCT-HS100,  Control software for Canon retinal cameras : RX capture for Retinal Cameras,  Server Software :  RX Server and Viewer Software : RX Viewer .

RX CAPTURE FOR OCT-HS100

Software fully integrated with the OCT-HS100 ; for capturing, reviewing and  reporting.

When used stand-alone , it also  functions as database with an archive function.

RX CAPTURE FOR RETINAL CAMERAS

 Software designed  to work with all Canon retinal cameras ; for capturing, reviewing

and reporting.  When used stand-alone , it also  functions as database with an archive function.

RX VIEWER

Application software which displays and analyzes the images or tomograms acquired by a Canon retinal camera or OCT-HS100. Access the database of the device or RX server from other rooms to review reports or study for full information.

RX SERVER

Dedicated database software that archives and manages patient information and tomogram and retinal images acquired by the  OCT-HS100 and Canon retinal cameras. Up to 10 licenses of RX Viewer can be connected, 3 OCT-HS100 and 4 Retinal Cameras.

SCALABLE SOLUTIONS

From a stand-alone installation to multiple modalities and viewers operating from a central server.

STAND ALONE

For capturing, reporting , reviewing and a database functionality – including archiving.

STAND ALONE WITH VIEWING STATIONS

The database is on the PC with the device and can be accessed from other rooms by the RX Viewer software. The viewing stations can be used to access the study for full information, to review or make reports. Maximum 2 concurrent licenses are possible , this means that you can install RX Viewer on as many PC’s as you like, but only 2 viewers can access the database at the same time.

SERVER SOLUTION

With the RX Server software it is possible to connect multiple modalities and viewers and store all images and patient information on a central server. Maximum 10 concurrent RX Viewers can be connected and up to 3 OCT-HS100 and 4 Canon Retinal Cameras

EFFICIENT WORKFLOW

Seamless integration with Electronic Medical record systems and practice management software using a Command line interface, a very useful function that allows third party patient management software to open the RX software – on that patient’s name and vice versa using the launcher function.

SIMPLE PATIENT DATA INPUT

Simply import a patient list from the practice management system useing a Modality worklist (in a DICOM environment), this saves time and avoids any typing mistakes. Of course manual input is always possible.

FULLY DICOM COMPLIANT

Dowload DICOM worklists from an information system and store images in a DICOM format on a network storage device.

EXAMPLE: ROTTERDAM EYE HOSPITAL (OZR)

The best illustration of the extensive networkcapabilities of the RX platform is The Rotterdam Eye Hospital.   This biggest dedicated Eye Hospital of the Netherlands has chosen for the Canon OCT. The IT connectivity was an important reason to choose for Canon. OZR has so far purchased 9 Canon OCT’s ; all studies are stored on a central RX Server . With 15 concurrent RX Viewers licences , studies can easily be reviewed on one their PC’s .  All PC’s are running in a Citrix environment. Furthermore all OCT ‘s are connected with their patient management system , making use of DICOM worklist .This simplifies their daily job enormously . Additionally  DICOM storage is used , making use of the DICOM connectivity to the fullest.

UPGRADE PATH

Cameras that are currently working with the previous Canon software (RICS) can be upgraded to new RX platform. Existing databases can be imported. Benefit from all the advantages that RX Capture for RC can offer .
